Mazda Tribute
| | Model of the car: | Mazda Tribute | | | General comments: | This is one great car. 24k miles so far and no serious reliability issues. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Rattle, rattle.. whooosh! My used Tribute came with internal rattles which were easily fixed by tracking down, then tightening up offending items (such as the pins the seat belts are fastened to). Tailgate rattled too.. the latch clattered against its locking pin.. dealer solved this by heavily lubricating the latch. Wind noise was greatly reduced by removing the roof rack.
If you buy this car used, insist on a spare key from the seller.. since the car has "chip" keys which are expensive and time consuming to copy. | | | Previous car: | Migrating from a sedan to a compact SUV, I tested 'em all. This one was definitely the most comfortable and all-around satisfying in its class. |
